Inês Lameiras Azevedo

Inês is a postdoctoral researcher in degrowth studies within the DELaw project.

Inês completed her PhD at the Law Department of the European University Institute in 2025. Her doctoral thesis, ‘Green Dreams, Gated Realities’, explores how circular economy principles can be applied to the housing sector, using California and the Netherlands as comparative case studies. Her research is directly interdisciplinary, combining insights from law, history, and political science.

Within DELaw, Inês will focus on the interdisciplinary aspects of researching degrowth and the law.
